Cooperation between our operating room nurses and other healthcare professionals in different disciplines is important, which is our most important force in the pandemic process. Managers need to make health professionals working in operating rooms feel valued and provide motivation,” he said.
“Nursing students, academics and US nurses working at the hospital should use our role as educators to raise society more awareness about the pandemic process,” said Gokcen Koker, a nurse in charge of Cardiovascular Surgery. Ozer Toksoy, an operating room nurse, also noted that the pandemic process is now our culture, saying: “the pandemic culture is a great burden on health professionals. Raising awareness about pandemic culture by health professionals needs to be done to society,” he said.
Yayla, who shared about the arrangements made before, during and after the operation through the algorithm of corporate measures for the operating room team, said : “Although there are guides and guides published by the Ministry of health, this process has been a rote process for us managers. We evaluated the process from the point of view of patients, employees and managers. We have made different plans for preoperative planned surgeries and emergency surgical interventions. We are trying to manage this process by providing a multidisciplinary working environment for surgical interventions in the pandemic process.” Fatime Cetin, the nurse in charge of the operating room, said: “as operating room nurses, we loved surgical masks, now we need to leave the surgical masks and start getting used to the use of N 95 masks. In this process, a solution must be found for the burnout of health workers. Everyone should love masks, “ he said.
