BREAST CANCER AWARENESS EVENT

Within the scope of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a Breast Cancer Awareness stand was established with the students of Izmir University of Economics Faculty of Health Sciences and Health Club. In order to raise awareness about breast cancer and draw attention to early diagnosis, pink ribbons and brochures, which are the symbols of breast cancer, were distributed. The students, who took charge, explained the breast self-examination, which is included in the early diagnosis of breast cancer, on breast models, and informed the university academic and administrative staff and students. The event was greeted with interest by the academic/administrative staff and students at our university. In the event, awareness was created by wearing pink clothes, which are the symbol of breast cancer.
