EFAD Achievement of Research Assistant Dietitian Merve Özen, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Health Sciences
I am pleased to share with you today an important achievement of our Research Assistant in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Merve Özen.
In addition to holding a Master of Science degree in nutrition sciences, she has started her PhD studies this year in Exercise Physiology at Dokuz Eylül University.
During this period, she successfully served as a consultant in the HEALTH-UP! project coordinated by the European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians (EFAD), known as the “voice of European dietetics.” EFAD is a strong umbrella organization representing national dietetic associations across Europe and plays an influential role in decisions related to nutrition and nutrition-related diseases within the European Parliament. In this project, she actively contributed to the development of the scientific framework and to the advancement of evidence-based strategies in the field of nutrition.
